The Waikiki Aquarium is a great place to tour, even if you're local. While it ain't the biggest aquarium I've been to, it offers some of the most exotic creatures for our viewing and educational pleasure. Take advantage of the "audio tour"; just gazing at the animals isn't enough. The audio tour adds greater understanding of the creatures. Some of the more outstanding exhibits: The Nautilus (and eggs!), the Sea Dragon from Australia, and the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal. The exotic sea creatures, combined with a very clean facility and courteous staff make this a treat for the whole family. - John , posted 09/18/05 |
